Yay, we are playing outside...

The boys are making up for lost time playing outside.  Smiling, laughing, working together.  This is kinda of a big deal since I've had grumpy boys for awhile.

Derby Day...

The pine wood derby has come and gone and once again we did not place in the top 8.  But truly no one really minds around here.  The fun is just watching those cars race down the track.  All the scouts showed excellent sportsmanship and we cheered for every one.
The silver with blue stripe is ours.

The gold with blue stripe is ours.

Yes, that is a shinny new track you see.  Brand spanking new and owned by our Pack.  Dedicated as the Wyandt Raceway for the family's years of service in fund-raising.

North to Alaska...

Some long time friends of ours that live in Alaska came down for a visit and to buy some equipment to take back up North.  My boys love them dearly and their visits are always special.  Here are a few pictures of my boys and our friend and his son.  We hope to see them again soon.

A Stamping good time...

I picked up some alphabet stamps for the Scientist the other day.
He's excited about learning to read and is getting better at recognizing short "a and o" words and some sight words.
This is where the Professor (his older brother)  told him what to stamp.
It's terribly funny because it's the word "doll."
And if you are a boy, with no sisters in the house, saying the word "doll" is hysterical.

GREAT Wolf Lodge...

Our much anticipated Great Wolf Lodge vacation was a blast.  We are soooo tired and yet we will be getting up early tomorrow to partake in 4H Super Saturday and WHA Workshops.  This wonderful area has so many fun activities it makes me feel down right guilty not to participate in the fun.
Here are some of our pictures from our trip...

Professor's Creation...

My 10 year old has spent the last week working on a tower.  He finds a few pieces each day and adds them in.  When he was done I had him take a picture of his creation.

I said it looked like the Empire State Building and asked him if he had ever seen a picture.  He didn't remember seeing one so we googled it and he agreed it looked a bit like the Empire State Building.
He's helping me write this and wants you to know that he first stacked them by size, then by color.
He is curious what my readers think of his tower.
