Happy New Year!

January 1, 2017

We decided to spend New Year's Day back up at Baker.  It was 6 days between trips so Josh and I had recovered from the first trip.  The weather was perfect!  We skied so many runs we lost count.

We missed not having Blossom with us but she understood and I made sure she had a great day.

She started off her day with our wonderful neighbor and a 2 hour play date.
Then Grammy and Wayne came to the house and took over for 3 hours.
The final stretch was with Grandma Patty for 4 hours.
It was a long day but she had a great time with everyone who took care of her.
She was napping by the time we got back home at 4:30.
Thank you everyone it was a great day of skiing!

Family Ski Trip...

Our first ski trip of the year landed on a snowmageddon day.

The powder was great but the blizzard was challenging.
Blossom did great trying skiing for the second time.  I was able to get her suited up and on the slope for two trips up the handle tow and down the little hill.  She really liked going down the hill.
With some practice she will get the hang of skiing.

Blossom enjoyed most of the day inside the lodge.
Good thing I brought plenty of Trader Joe's lollipops.

Brothers and Cousins...

Josh's brother came to visit after Christmas.
He was able to bring his daughter during her school break.  On the list of activities was "see the snow."
We made that happen New Years Eve with a trip to Sno Park on Mt. Baker Highway.

Other activities included Trampoline Zone, dinner with Grandma Patty and Yahtzee.

Blossom is still talking about her cousin and Uncle.  She really enjoyed spending time with them, as we all did.  The years between visits is far, far too long.

It Snowed!

It snowed!  The kids can now say they had winter.

The boys had Blossom help with making a snowman and she was a very serious helper.
She worked so hard and for so long.  She was not a happy camper when I insisted she come inside because her hands were so cold.
Their snowman was brave soldier but a few days later the warmer temperatures took him.

Labor Day 2015...

Wow!  It's October already and I'm behind at getting these pictures of Mt. Baker from Labor Day up on the blog.
It was a cold, cold day up on the mountain!  Some of us had come prepared with warm clothing and some of us not so much.

It's good to chill out on the top of a mountain every now and then.

We managed to walk the trails and enjoy the view for about an hour.

The parking lot was full that day with people enjoying the mountain.
Josh helped a large group capture their moment together up on the mountain.

Hopefully this winter will bring a lot of snow.
