Oh BOY...

My 7 year old's baseball team almost didn't have a coach this year.  Days before practice was to start, parents were getting emails that no one had come forward to coach.  Just when we thought our team was doomed a mom came forward and said she would coach.  She's been a great coach.  My son had a great time on his first baseball team.
So, when I asked him how he would like to thank his coach today after the last game and I gave him various ideas like a card or maybe even flowers he said, "Mom, I don't want to get too complicated. How about I just go up to her and say thank you after the game."

What can I say...
He's a boy, I think it's genetic.

Bristol & Daisy

A rare sunny day today got us outside to the local dog park.
A tired dog is happy dog.
Making friends.

Getting a closer look... again.
A wee little dog to hold.

Stuck in the Middle...

My middle child.  A handsome lad of 7 years for a few more months and then he turns 8.  This child can push the limits of my patience and melt my heart.  I love his quiet ways, his ability to focus and build with Lego for hours on end, his freckles, his smile, his sense of humor without being too goofy, the mother's day card he made me and his hugs.
The Architect.
