From the North to the South and the East to the West...

I'd like to welcome all my new recent blog visitors from far and wide.  Hello to Canada, Chile, Australia, South Africa, Denmark, France, United Kingdom, Brazil, Germany, Netherlands, Mexico, Puerto Rico, France, Malta and Malaysia.

Our family is an average American family enjoying the wonderful freedom of living in the United States.  Our views and principles reflect those of our founding fathers.

We will be celebrating Flag day soon and getting ready for our Independence Day celebration on July 4th.

I'm looking forward to a fun summer with great weather and lots of outdoor activities.

Stop by often and leave a message.  Tell me about your country and if you have a blog let me know so I can check it out.

Wizards @ Western...

The Wizards lecture series at Western is awesome!  Last Saturday I had to make a choice between the Whatcom Homeschool material recycle sale, a Lynden parade or a Wizards lecture on Creatures in the Salish Sea.  I couldn't pass up an opportunity to cement some learning from our sailing trip so I took the two older boys and met Grammy at Western Washington University.
The Salish Sea is the new name being adopted for all the water in the Puget Sound, Straight of Juan de Fuca and the Straight of Georgia.  The other names will still be used to refer to the specific areas.
Waiting for it to start.
Checking out some creatures.
Little critters that made me go "Eew" silently to myself.
Looking at them under the projector.

Sure wish my science buddy could have been there.
