A Super 16th...

He turned 16!

How do you celebrate a milestone such as this when the week is packed?  Well, we split it up with a little here and a little there, but I made sure to be at the DMV on the morning of his birthday.
CJ is now the proud owner of a enhanced Washington State drivers license.

A few days before his birthday we had a pizza dinner at Grandma Patty's.  This was to celebrate not only his birthday but DJ's as well because they are only 6 days apart.  It was really nice to have a little gathering already prepared.  Thank you Grandma Patty.

Back to the day of his birthday - they day of his license, and ZLO class, cookie dough pick up, Zaycon chicken pick up and a Taekwondo test for DJ.  Going out for dinner that night may not just have been a treat for him.

When we got home that night he had a few cards waiting for him and a small present.

He received very generous gifts from family and a poster from us.  It's his favorite car.  I also made him a video of friends and family wishing him a Happy Birthday.  He was pretty surprised I managed to gather so many videos together and I think it really filled his tank.  A fitting gift for the young man who communicates so enthusiastically.  A video of enthusiastic well wishers.
