Church Camp 2017...

We love our church camp weekend.  Bryce Creek is the perfect spot for 30 plus families to camp for 3 nights.

Breakfast is served every morning, rain, shine or chilly morning air.
 The playground is great!
Blossom had plenty of company at the playground when she brought out her dinosaurs, hot-wheels cars and shovel and bucket.

Cleaning up the kids is easy with the giant slip-n-slid with dish soap.

While the little kids slip-n-slide, the big kids head over to Silver Lake in the Church vans.

Josh, with his Boy Scout leadership experience is often asked to lead this event.  Our own boys and their Boy Scout knowledge of water safety are usually asked to watch out for the others.

Church Camp ends with Sunday service outside under the large pavilion.  Lunch is served afterwards and then it's time to clean up.

The drive home is only about 40 minutes.  Blossom falls asleep within minutes.  She loved camp this year.  She ran bare foot around camp for nearly 3 days straight.  She lived at the playground and soaked up just the right amount of sun.  Watching her enjoy life makes me smile!

Appel Farms Field Trip...

This little gem is nesseled on the outsirts of Ferndale, WA.  A small cheese farm with a beautiful little shop and eatery.

I love these pictures of Blossom.  She is out going, friendly, strong and fiercely independent at times.
She is no shrinking violet.  Her posture screams confidence.  Shoulders back, eyes keenly set.  I hope she never looses this confidence.

Springtime...

Nearly 3 1/2 years old.

Life is richer, fuller, brighter through the eyes of a child.

Yarning...

Blossom knows where I keep the yarn and the other day she asked me if she could yarn.
She has seen me sew a few scout patches and wanted to try.
I found a blunt needle and let her try.
It held her attention for a few minutes.
Then she was done with the yarn.

Garden in May...

This is our second year with the little garden.
Snap peas, cucumbers, lettuce, spinach and cabbage are trying to grow.

The spinach looks good in this picture but a few weeks later and it has leaf miner.
I think it's a loss.

The Snowy Day in April...

I am back in the groove of Five in a Row with the help of my awesome study buddies, Grammy and Grandma Patty!  Nearly every week for the past few months I've had them both each week.  It makes such a different with what we can accomplish each week with school.  Sometimes I just need one uninterrupted hour to make the day a success with the boys' school work.
With the help of my study buddies, Blossom is getting quality books and fun activities.
I also get to read books I've never read before.
I just love Five in a Row and the simple yet effective activities.

Eggstra Special...

What's eggstra special about this day?  Blossom didn't have share the coloring with her brothers.  They felt too old to color eggs this year.  She was able to color eggs to her hearts content.  I was even able to color a few.

Salon Day!

Before and after pictures of a real salon hair cut!  I wanted Blossom to have a stellar first haircut experience so I asked my stylist Miranda if she would trim her hair or recommend someone. I wanted a small, quiet salon and a stylist that was sweet and kind.

Miranda agreed to trim Blossom's hair and Blossom joins a small list of wee little clients that Miranda serves.

Blossom agreed a couple weeks ago to get a hair cut because I told her Miranda has chocolate at her salon.  This morning Miranda left for work early just to pick up special chocolate for my girl because she knew Blossom would be anticipating a chocolate treat.

Grandma Patty was nearby and popped in to take these fun pictures for me.

I'm thankful for these special people that surround us.
And I love my Blossom!
