There's a new farmer's market in the North County. Located just about a mile west of the freeway on Birch Bay/Lynden Road. This market is under new management and now called Hovander Farms Natural Foods. It's run by a 5th generation Hovander.
I talked to the person running the store today and she said the goal is to focus on local and regional foods. Yeah! This can mean lower costs and fresher produce.
I picked up some green beans, pears, watermelon and bell peppers.
I'm looking forward to seeing this little market flourish and hopefully do as well and the Green Barn does in Lynden.
