The Quick Red Fox . . .

There's a fox roaming the backyards of our area.  He's been seen in ours twice and our neighbors once.

This fox seems to be crossing through in order to get to the chickens our neighbor has.  Thankfully she has them well contained.

The Architect got a good look at the fox the other day when he went out on the back porch.  He said it was "BIG!"

These boys were hoping it would come back so they could get a shot off with their BB guns.  I indulged their ideas even though I knew they couldn't be quiet or still enough to lure anything nearby.

One of their ideas was to lure it with the sounds of a chicken.  The Architect found our big book of bird sounds.  He looked through it and decided a turkey was the closest thing that would work.  So, for 10 minutes or so it sounded like we had a turkey talking up a storm on the back porch.

They had fun in the "outpost" and the fox continues to roam the woods.
